Description:
The HMC540SLP3E is a broadband 4-bit IC chip digital attenuator in a low cost leadless surface mount package. This digital attenuator for each single positive voltage control line operates off-chip with an off-chip AC grounding capacitor, making it ideal for a wide range of RF and IF applications. Operating at 0.1 to 8 GHz, the insertion loss is less than 1 dB typical. The attenuator bit values are 1 (LSB), 2, 4, and 8 dB for a total attenuation of 15 dB. It has excellent attenuation accuracy with a typical step accuracy of ± 0.2 dB. The attenuator also has +56 dBm IP3. A four-bit TTL/CMOS control input is used to select each attenuation state. It can be powered by a single supply Vdd of +3.3V to 5V.
