Charging Steps for Solar Cells:
- Measure the no-load voltage of the solar panel (with sufficient sunlight), calculate MPPT voltage=0.75*no-load voltage, or directly check the Vmp parameter value of the manufacturer's solar panel. Be careful not to connect the positive and negative poles in reverse.
- The solar panel is connected to the module for power supply, switches to the MPPT voltage display interface, adjusts the MPPT potentiometer, and adjusts the value to Vmp voltage.
- Rotate the CV potentiometer to adjust the output voltage (which is the float charging voltage of the charged pool).
- Short circuit the positive and negative terminals of the output, rotate the CC potentiometer, and adjust the limit current size (which is the allowable charging current of the charged pool). If the power of the solar panel is too small, the MPPT light will turn on during a short circuit. In order to maintain a constant input voltage, the output current will be limited, and the current can only be adjusted downwards. The current value seen when the MPPT light is off is meaningful. It is recommended to choose sufficient sunlight or adjust the current when using a constant voltage source as input.
- Connect the battery for charging (be careful not to reverse the positive and negative terminals). The MPPT potentiometer can be adjusted appropriately to keep the module at its maximum power point output. Suggest connecting diodes to thoroughly prevent backflow.

Precaution:
- The positive and negative poles of the input cannot be reversed, otherwise it will burn out;
- When connecting the output terminal to the battery, the positive and negative poles should not be reversed, otherwise it will burn out.
- The maximum output current of 20A is limited to when the voltage difference between the input voltage and the output voltage is small, and the output power does not exceed 300W.
- The larger the voltage difference between input and output, the lower the conversion efficiency and the more severe the heat generation. When the heat is too severe, please reduce the power and use it, or add a 5V fan (with reserved interface, fan current less than 300mA) to assist in heat dissipation.
- The MPPT voltage is generally set to 0.75 times the open circuit voltage of the solar panel. You can also refer to the nameplate or consult the solar panel manufacturer for the Vmp voltage value, which is the MPPT voltage we want to set. The display screen can display the set voltage, and the adjustment is clear at a glance, which is very convenient.
- The output current limiting (CC) value is generally the allowable charging current of the rechargeable battery. The current setting method is to short-circuit the output end directly with a wire, adjust the CC potentiometer by watching the current display value, and the displayed value is the current limiting value (maximum output current value).
