5A CNC Buck Converter Step Down Module with Crystal Shell 6.5-36V to 1.2-32V Unassembled ZK-J5X
Attention:
Acrylic heat sink, copper pillars, screws and other accessories are included in the package, which need to be assembled by yourself. The module is a DC to DC step-down module. It is not allowed to input AC voltage directly reduced by a transformer. When charging battery, make sure that the output of the module is powered on before connecting the battery. After the battery is fully charged, unplug the battery first, and then power off the module to prevent the battery voltage from back-flow. (It is best to connect a high-current diode to the positive electrode of the module to prevent back-flow). Battery is not included.
Features:
- Crystal case with beautiful and elegant design. Its buttons with good touch texture. Set output voltage by pressing the buttons, without screwdriver.
- Press button to turn output on/off, and you can set power-on default mode to ON or OFF.
- LCD can display input and output voltage, output current and output power.
- Input terminal is protected against reverse connection, and the module will not burn out.
- High efficiency over 93%, high current, low heat, 1.2-32V output voltage adjustment, constant current value adjustment about 0-4.5A. Suitable for office power supply, high-power LED constant current drive, charging, etc.
Parameters:
- Input voltage: 6.5-36V (When input voltage is lower than 6.5V, current accuracy is not accurate. When input voltage is lower than 5.5V, LCD display is abnormal)
- Output voltage: 1.2-32V. The default output is 5V.
- Output current: It can work stably at 3.5A for a long time. Under the condition of enhanced heat dissipation, it can reach about 4.5A (the maximum adjustable current is about 4.2-4.5A)
- Output power: 50W (within 3.5A) for natural heat dissipation, 75W for enhanced heat dissipation
- Voltage display: resolution 0.05V, range 1.2-32V, accuracy ±0.1V
- Current display: resolution 0.005A, range 0-4.5A, accuracy ±0.05A
- Conversion efficiency: about 94%
- Working current: about 30mA
- Input reverse connection protection: Yes
- Output end anti-backflow: None (When you want to charge battery, power on the module before connecting the battery, and ensure that the battery voltage is lower than the output voltage. If possible, please connect an anti-backup diode in series to the positive output terminal)
- Short circuit protection: Yes
Function Instruction:
1.There are two buttons on the left of the module: IN/OUT, ON/OFF. IN/OUT button: Switch between input voltage and output voltage display. Press and hold the button to switch between output current and output power. ON/OFF button: Control output ON or OFF. Press and hold the button to set the default output state to ON or OFF when power-on again.
There are + and-buttons on the right side of the module. + Button: Press the button once, output voltage will increase by 0.05V. Press and hold the button to increase output voltage continuously. Press and hold the button again to increase by step 0.1V and 1V continuously. - Key: Press the key once, output voltage will decrease by 0.05V. Press and hold the button, output voltage will decrease continuously. Pressing the button again for a long time can reduce step by step 0.1V and 1V continuously.
2.ADJ-I is a current setting potentiometer. Turn the potentiometer clockwise to increase setting current. When load current reaches the set current, it enters constant current state, and CC indicator light (red) will be lit. OUT indicator is an output status indicator. When there is voltage at output end, OUT indicator will light up. When there is no voltage at the output terminal, the indicator will be off. CHAR indicator is a charging indicator. It is lit when it is charging. FULL indicator is a fullly charged indicator. If constant current value is set to 2A, indicators will be switched when charging current reaches below 0.2A. At this time, FULL indicator is on and CHAR indicator is off.
Using Ways:
1.Used as a common buck module with over-current protection
(1) Set output voltage by pressing button to reach the voltage value you want.
(2) First turn ADJ-I current adjustment potentiometer counterclockwise to the end. Then use a multimeter 10A current to measure output short-circuit current (just connect two test probes directly to output terminal). Adjust ADJ-I constant current potentiometer clockwise to make output current reach the over-current protection value you want to set. (For example, the current value displayed by a multimeter is 2A, then the maximum current when you use the module can only be 2A. When current reaches 2A, red constant current indicator is on. When current reaches less than 2A, the indicator is off)
2. Use as a battery charger (Battery is not included)
Modules without constant current cannot be used to charge battery. Due to the large voltage difference between drained battery and the charger, when charging current is too large, the battery will be damaged. So at the beginning, the battery should be charged with constant current. When charging to a certain level, it automatically switches back to constant voltage charging.
(1) Determine the floating charge voltage and charging current of the battery you need to charge. (If the lithium battery parameter is 3.7V / 2200mAh, then the floating charge voltage is 4.2V and the maximum charging current is 1C, which is 2200mA)
(2) Under no-load conditions, output voltage via button reaches the floating charge voltage; (if charging a 3.7V lithium battery, adjust output voltage to 4.2V)
(3) First turn ADJ-I current adjustment potentiometer counterclockwise to the end. Then use a multimeter 10A current to measure output short-circuit current (just connect two test probes directly to output end). Adjust ADJ-I constant current potentiometer clockwise to make output current reach the predetermined charging current value;
(4) Connect battery and charge.
(When setting steps 1, 2, and 3: When output terminal is not connected with a load, the module cannot connect to a battery)
3.Used as a high-power LED constant current driver module
(1) Determine the working current and maximum working voltage you need to drive LED;
(2) Under no-load conditions, set output voltage by pressing the key to make it reach the maximum LED operating voltage;
(3) First rotate ADJ-I current adjustment potentiometer counterclockwise to the end, and then use a multimeter 10A current to measure output short-circuit current (just connect two test probes directly to the output terminal). Adjust ADJ-I constant current potentiometer clockwise to make output current reach the predetermined LED working current;
(4) Connect LED and test.
(When setting steps 1, 2, and 3: When the output terminal is no-load, do not connect LED light.)
Precautions:
1.The IN- terminal of the module must not be short-circuited to the OUT- terminal, otherwise constant current function will fail.
2.Please ensure that the power of power supply is greater than the power required by an output load. When the module is hot, please reduce the power!
3. Please read the product description carefully before using.
4.Electronic knowledge is highly recommended.
5.It is not designed for medical, life saving, life support and other purposes, and cannot be used in dangerous places such as coal mine depot.
