Description:
- This is 915MHZ 3DR radio telemetry for HAWK flight control
- Adopting FT232RQ chip
- The 3DR Radio telemetry system is designed as an open source Xbee replacement radio set, offering a lower price, longer range and superior performance to Xbee radios.
- open source firmware. Interface to the module is via standard 5V-tolerant TTL serial / FTDI USB serial.
- The SiK firmware includes a bootloader that permits radio firmware upgrades over the serial interface, and radio firmware with configurable parameters. Firmware upgrades and configuration are fully supported in the APM Mission Planner. Configuration is also possible through the 3DR Radio Configurator or AT commands.
- Data transmission distance is about 800M, suitable for close distance flying. Xbee or Xtend large power telemetry is for long distance
Note: 3DR radio telemtry will not have very long transmitting distance if it is applied to PIX flight control, because PIX data quantity is larger than APM, you can choose XBEE or XTEND telemetry
Tips:
- CUAV RADIO V3 version usb interface has been changed and it is the same as APM2 micro usb interface
- If using telemetry to connect to flight control, it must be independently powered, USB terminal cannot be used. Ground station baud rate choose 57600.3, default power is 11, it can choose 20 power for longer distance
- If using PIX flight control, please change airspeed to 128, otherwise the data reading will be slowly, APM use 64 airspeed
