ADAU1466 DSP + CS42448 DAC 14-IN 18-OUT DSP Processor Multi-channel Audio Signal Processor SPDIF + USBi Interface
Description:
- ADI's SS series DSP ADAU1466/ADAU1452 (optional) are used as the main control, two CS42448 are used as 6-channel analog-to-digital conversion ADC, 8-channel digital-to-analog conversion DAC, plus the SPDIF input and output interface of the DSP itself, forming a DSP module with 14 channels input and 18 channels output, which can be used as a multi-channel audio signal processing for car audio modification or home theater processing. Support electronic frequency division adjustment, noise reduction, compression, delay, virtual surround and other audio processing. Providing complete routines suitable for system engineering, including input and output interface configuration/clock configuration and general configuration. You can add more functions and effects you need.
- The CS42448 is a highly integrated audio decoder designed to simplify the design of home theater and car audio systems. System designers can use this decoder to deliver advanced multi-channel surround sound performance to entry-level and mid-level audio products. The CS42448 supports the addition of up to eight single-ended or six differential audio input sources, and up to eight single-ended or differential output sources. Highly integrated, multiple audio channels can be transferred to the DSP chip without external analog-to-digital (A/D) converters for audio processing. An auxiliary serial input is available for two additional PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) data channels. The inputs are more powerful, enabling audio/video (A/V) receivers that can receive audio from multiple sources. In car entertainment systems, audio input sources can include in-car navigation systems, mobile phones, CD/DVD players, and radio tuners. The CS42448 outputs adopting for Cirrus Logic's patented Popguard technology, which eliminates clicks and pops caused by power switching. For Popguard enhances audio while simplifying system design and reducing bill of materials (BOM) costs. The CS42448 offers advanced performance, design flexibility, reduced BOM cost, and a competitive retail price. This IC is ideal for audio applications requiring wide dynamic range, negligible distortion and low noise, such as A/V receivers, DVD receivers and car audio systems.

The ADAU1462/ADAU1466 are audio processors qualified for automotive applications, with digital signal processing capabilities far exceeding those of earlier devices for SigmaDSP. They are pin and register compatible with each other and with the ADAU1450/ADAU1451/ADAU1452 processors for SigmaDSP. The hardware architecture has been reorganized and optimized to achieve efficient audio processing. Audio processing algorithms support a seamless combination of application streaming (per-sample), multi-rate processing and block processing modes. Through the graphical programming tool for SigmaStudio, you can create intuitive, interactive and powerful signal processing flows. The enhanced digital signal processor (DSP) core architecture significantly improves code efficiency by requiring significantly fewer instructions to execute certain types of audio processing algorithms compared to previous generations for SigmaDSP.
