Utilizing state of the art strain wave gear technology for both RA and DEC movement, it delivers unparalleled weight to payload efficiency. Its black anodized metal CNC machined body is not only appealing to the eye, it's a rugged platform that will perform at the highest level for many years to come. Unique features include an electronic friction brake that allows the mount to stop safely.
An HAE18C mount can be controlled by a computer, either via ASCOM/Commander for a Windows PC or a third party INDI driver for a MacOS software; a Smartphone/Tablet via Commander Lite for iOptron or an App like SkySafari Pro; or a Raspberry Pi device via INDI driver, "C" models (internal main board versions) with built-in Wi-Fi allow for external control without need for a handset. Those who prefer using a handset, the optional 8411 controller (for Go2Nova®) is available. The mount has on saddle USB and 12V ports for easier cable management. A quality form fit hard case is included. It can be used with platforms for ASCOM, INDI, iOS and Android.
