E1DA Cosmos Tweak Windows App Using Precaution:
- This application can adjust the distortion harmonic level, interpolation filter, and ADC integrator settings.
- Harmonic control is similar to the TWEAK9038 for Android application we use for 9038D/SDAC, but not subject to volume control.
- All ADC units are calibrated before sale, so it is best not to change the settings of the Cosmos Tweak Windows application without copying the calibration values.
- For example, after inserting the ADC, run TweakCosmosQT.exe and click the 【Connect&Read】 button to see the calibration value of THD compensation.
  THD ADC1/3:2nd, 3rd as the left channel
  THD ADC2/4:2nd, 3rd as the right channel
  And ADC-IN_SEL for ADC1-4 (usually, all parameters there=11)
- To confirm if the calibration values are correct, click the 【Connect&Read】 button again and check if the app is connected to the hardware. Do not lose the calibration values!
- The typical second compensation value is 0+/-5, and the third compensation value is -7 to -15.
- Why do you think you may need to use this application? If you have an accurate ultra-low loss true string source (such as an AP analyzer, Custom -150db Clean 1kHz oscillator, or Cosmos DAC), you can re-calibrate the Cosmos ADC distortion yourself.
- Just like AP analyzers need to be re-calibrated regularly every year, precision ADCs like Cosmos also need to re-calibrate THD.
- The ADC-IN_SEL parameter can improve the SNR of the ADC.
- Adjusting the slider by 2ch MODE/1ch MODE can switch the STEREO/MONO mode of the ADC, which is the same as adjusting the volume.
- There are 8 filter modes to choose from, with the default mode being apodized linear phase. If you are concerned about latency issues, you can choose the minimum phase filter. All changed parameters will be automatically saved.
