EMC EMI Test Passive Near Filed Probe Kit With Wideband Preamplifier AMP-H Module 100MHz-4GHz
Description:
The passive near-field probe in the kit is a cost-effective near-field probe used to find the source of interference and determine the cause of interference. It is used to detect the direction and intensity of magnetic field on the surface of your device, detect magnetic field coupling channel, adjust the position of connector, detect the magnetic field environment near the module, perform EMI testing, and find the real source of interference or its propagation path. The positioning function can be easily realized by the passive near-field probe.
The broadband preamplifier module in the kit is an amplifier with wide frequency range, stable gain, low noise figure and large dynamic range. It can be used in various RF receiving front ends to increase communication distance, wide shortwave, FM broadcasting, remote control receivers, cable TV signal amplifiers and other places where low noise and small signal RF amplification is required. At the same time, when the interference signal is relatively weak, this amplifier module can be used to improve system test sensitivity.
Near Filed Probes:
There are 5pcs probes, namely No. 1~4 magnetic field probes and No. 5 electric field probe. Probes are designed with SMA interface which is directly connected via cable, for use on oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer or EMC receiver.
Magnetic field probe No. 1 is mainly used for EMI conduction rectification. It can be applied to conduction and chassis radiation testing. Power cord can pass through the center of the probe to test the conduction of power cord, and working frequency is 10MHz~3GHz.
Magnetic field probes No. 2, 3, 4 and electric field probe No. 5 are mainly used for rectification of EMI space radiation. It can be used for magnetic field radiation test, working frequency is 30MHz~3GHz.
Probe Technical Specifications:
- Probe properties: 4pcs magnetic field probe, 1pcs electric field probe
- Interface type: SMA port
- Working bandwidth: 10MHz~3GHz
- Probe detection diameters: Diameters of No. 1~4 probes are about 45mm/1.8", 30mm/1.2", 10mm/0.4", 5mm/0.2" respectively
- Sensitivity comparison: No. 1> No. 2> No. 3> No. 4
- Direction resolution comparison: No. 1 <No. 2 <No. 3 <No. 4
Wideband Preamplifier:
Broadband preamplifier is mainly to amplify the weak signal to be tested.
The frequency range of AMP-L module is 10MHz~3GHz; gain is about 35dB.
The frequency range of AMP-H module is 100MHz~4GHz, and gain is about 35dB.
Both of these broadband preamplifiers contain lithium batteries for easy application. The product is equipped with a USB adapter for power supply and charging.

* Flatness: ± 3dB
* Maximum linear output power: 20dBm
* Maximum linear input power: <-15dBm
* Maximum input power: 15dBm
* Noise figure: 2.2dB
* System impedance: 50 ohms
* Working voltage: DC 5V (battery/adapter)

Preamplifier Introduction:
* IN: Input Signal
* OUT: Output signal
* ON/OFF: Switch button
* LED: Working Indicator
Applications:
(1) The amplifier has very good flatness when the frequency is less than 500MHz. Carefully adjust it to less than 1dB. The lower the frequency, the greater the gain and the higher the consistency.
(2) The broadband preamplifier contains a lithium battery. Press the switch button and the broadband preamplifier module can work normally. The indicator light turns blue during normal operation. If the indicator light flashes in blue, it indicates that the voltage of the lithium battery is too low and the module is not working properly, and it needs to be charged by Micro USB. The module can still work normally during the external charging process. During the charging process, the indicator light turns red. When fully charged, the indicator light turns green.
(3) The frequency gain curves of the two broadband preamplifiers are shown in the figure below.
(4) Kit application: Connect the output of near-field probe to the input of a broadband preamplifier, and connect the output of the amplifier to the input interface of your test receiver.
