Description:

Referring to foreign capacitance ESR measurement technology, it uses ultra-low power MCU MSP430F413 as main measurement chip. It adopts a 4-digit 8-segment LCD screen, and the segment LCD screen is a voltage device, which basically does not consume electricity. Through the above two energy-saving measures, this super power-saving capacitance ESR meter has been created.

Basic Performance Parameters:
- The working current of the whole machine is 6mA, short-circuit test leads and turn on the instrument to complete automatic zero adjustment
- Synchronous detection is used as the test signal, and the displayed value is the true ESR value
- Three-level range is automatically matched, the range is 0.01-99 ohms. The resolution of 0.01-0.99 ohm range is 0.01 ohm, the resolution of 1-9.9 ohm range is 0.1 ohm, and the resolution of 10-99 ohm range is 1 ohm
- Measured pulse amplitude is less than 0.7V, which satisfies the reliability of measuring the ESR value of in-circuit capacitors
- Protective components are set at both ends of the test lead to prevent damage to the meter when capacitors with electricity
- If no measurement operation is performed for a long time, the ESR meter will automatically shut down

How to Use the ESR Meter?

First, short-circuit the test probes, and then turn on the instrument to complete automatic zero adjustment. Compare data results measured by in-circuit (not in-circuit) with the ESR (equivalent series resistance) value of a standard capacitor (see the table at the bottom). If the measured value is much larger than the standard value, for example 8 times, it indicates that the capacitor has been aging and needs to be replaced. If it is much smaller than the standard value, there is likely to be a leakage phenomenon. The above measurements all support in-circuit measurement.
