Description:
KC9532, an industrial sensor for measuring RF microwave power, is with RS485 communication interface and USB interface. It is mainly used for online monitoring of industrial microwave systems.
Using KC9532 can obtain the peak value, average value and root mean square value data of microwave energy at the same time. All these data can be used to evaluate the output quality of microwave source. If the three values are basically the same, the microwave amplitude is stable.
The KC9532 has four measurement channels, which are sampled synchronously. For microwave sources with less stable amplitude (such as magnetrons), each monitoring point in the system should be sampled synchronously, and only the data obtained in this way can be compared with each other.
With multiple directional couplers or six-port waveguide devices, KC9532 can measure the impedance of microwave systems under real power. Traditional network analyzers can only make small-signal measurements. For microwave system studies, the performance of real high-power and small-signal conditions can be quite different, and some phenomena (such as excited plasma) do not occur at all in the small-signal regime. The product adopts temperature compensation, and the drift is very small in the common temperature range of industrial instruments (-20℃ to 85℃ case temperature), usually not more than 0.5dB.
KC9532 is powered by a single power supply, supporting a wide voltage range of 4~50V. It is suitable for industrial control scenarios with general reliability requirements. At any time, there is no guarantee that the product can be used in aerospace, military, life support, etc. scenarios.

Application:
Suitable for microwave power measurements with moderate and lower reliability requirements, such as stable signal power measurement, certain radar transmitters, industrial microwave system (can be used for magnetron microwave sources), waveguide impedance meter (six-port method), and workplace leakage monitoring (requires proper antenna configuration).

Installation:
There are 5 screw holes on the KC9532 case, which are usually installed in the device with screws with a diameter of 3~4mm. Since the KC9532 contains high-speed data processing circuits, it generates a lot of heat. It is recommended to stick it close to a cool metal surface to facilitate heat dissipation. Please not place the device in an adiabatic environment, and ensure that the temperature of the device case is not higher than 85°C during operation. It should avoid frequent vibration, and take shock absorption measures if necessary. RF coaxial cables will attenuate the signal, causing the measured power to be slightly lower than the actual power if not compensated. The attenuation of the coaxial cable can be set to the KC9532 using the configuration software, and the instrument will compensate according to the set attenuation.
