Module Description:
a. Technology for EtherCAT is the mainstream fast industrial Ethernet solution and the advanced core technology of industry 4.0 intelligent manufacturing. There are two basic frameworks for implementing this scheme: master station + slave station.
b. The module is designed by the combination of master board for EtherCAT and MCU board.
C. The master uses EC-01M, which is a pure hardware master protocol chip; it supports two control interfaces: USB and SPI; it can be controlled by a PC or an external controller.
D. The master station can control the slave station through the officially provided PC software.
E. It can use its own familiar language to write application programs for control, such as commonly used C#, VC, VB and Python.
F. The MCU board adopts STM32F405 as its main control chip; it communicates with the main station board through SPI.
G. MCU board with abundant interfaces: Ethernet, CAN, RS485, RS232, and extended IO
H. In addition to supporting conventional programming methods, the MCU board also supports for Python programming.

Introduction of EC-01M Master Chip:
a. This is a low-cost, high-efficiency, and very simple hardware-only master protocol chip;
b. Two control methods are supported: USB is connected to PC or SPI is used to connect to control chip;
c. RTOS and 160 FIFOs are integrated inside the IC, which is strongly guaranteed in real-time. It greatly reduces the performance requirements of PC or external controller, thereby reducing the total cost;
d. EC-01M supports a maximum of 40 slave stations to work synchronously, and the cycle period can reach 250us, and the jitter rate is approximately zero; and supports CSP, CSV and CST drive modes;
e. EC-01M is designed in strict accordance with the standard protocol for EtherCAT and supports the communication protocol of the CIA401/CIA402 standard.
f. Low cost, the price difference is more than 30 times that of the conventional BECHOFF main station;
g. Officially tested equipment for EtherCAT of the following brands: for Leisai, Xinjie, Oriental Motor, Inovance, Yaskawa, Panasonic, Fuji, Delta, Shihlin, Sanyo, TECO, TSINO DYNATRON, and JMC.
