Description:
The KC761A radiation multimeter uses a 25.4×10×10mmCsI scintillation detector and a 4×4mmPIN sensor, with a built-in multi-channel analyzer. It can display energy spectra and dose rate curves, and can store and export data.
When used according to the manual, for 662keV gamma rays, the energy resolution is guaranteed to be no worse than 8.6%, the typical resolution is 8.2%, and the energy uncertainty is rated at ±(2%+10keV) and typical at ±(1%+5keV) when leaving the factory.
CsI sensors have extremely high sensitivity, and their high-energy gamma efficiency is far superior to that of Geiger counters. They can clearly display environmental background radiation and various weak radiation. They can accumulate for a long time and find small differences in the radiation size of different natural materials.
For dose rate display, energy compensation is used from background to 100μGy/h, with good accuracy, and dose equivalent rate (H10) in μSv/h is provided; there is no energy compensation above 100μGy/h, which is used for event reporting.
With built-in thermometer and barometer, it can display the altitude converted by air pressure.
You can use NiMH rechargeable batteries. After connecting to an external power source, the external power source will automatically charge the batteries. Charging stops automatically when fully charged.
It supports USB and POE power supply, network port, Bluetooth data transmission, TF card storage, and can be used for continuous monitoring.

Precautions:
(1) The instrument should be kept intact to avoid operation with defects. If there is any doubt about the performance, it should be calibrated in time. If there is a fault, it should be stopped and repaired. If the shell and its accessories, such as protective film, rubber plug, sealing ring, etc., are damaged, they can be ordered from the manufacturer.
(2) Keep it clean. Wipe the outer shell with clean water. Do not use alcohol or other organic solvents.
(3) If the instrument is exposed to water, wipe it dry with absorbent material first, then shake the water from the keyboard and speaker window toward the front panel. Do not open the rubber protective plug before wiping it dry.
(4) The screen cover is made of tempered glass and is very strong. If it breaks due to force majeure, there will be sharp fragments. The front cover assembly should be replaced.
(5) When removing and installing the battery cover, you need to use a lot of force. Be careful not to scratch your fingers with the plastic edges.
(6) Do not disassemble the instrument. Due to the waterproof seal, the instrument is difficult to disassemble. If you need to add options, it is recommended to send it back to the manufacturer for processing.
(7) It contains a very sensitive amplifier circuit. Please stay away from electromagnetic radiation. When performing important tests, make sure to keep at least 1 meter away from radiation sources such as mobile phones and walkie-talkies. Avoid putting it in the same pocket as a mobile phone, and do not hang it on the same side of your body as a walkie-talkie. Because PIN detectors are particularly sensitive, any electromagnetic interference will cause false counting. For example, near mobile phones, walkie-talkies, routers, fluorescent lamps, electric mosquito swatters, electric vehicle chargers, and any low-quality switching power supplies, low-quality LED lights, etc., may cause false counting. When the counting is suspected to be abnormal, pay attention to eliminate the possibility of surrounding electromagnetic interference. When using an AC power adapter, the adapter should allow the output to be grounded and one end of it should be grounded. The output of some switching power supplies (such as USB chargers) has a common-mode voltage ripple of up to tens of volts, which can cause interference through local ground capacitance, causing the instrument to respond incorrectly when it is close to metal or human body.
