Description:
KC901 is an RF multimeter based on network analyzer. This series of products has a history of more than ten years. The latest one is the fourth generation product, collectively known as KC901xG4.
KC901J covers the frequency range of 5KHz~2GHz and is a standard two-port VNA with 1 signal source and 4 receivers. KC901J can replace the 1½-port VNA KC901C+.
Basic functions: S11, S21, S12, S22, with loss, standing wave, impedance and other test functions.
Additional functions: spectrum, comparator, field strength meter, RF signal source, audio signal source, time domain transformation of S parameters (DTF fault location function), etc.
The fourth generation can measure four S parameters without turning the device direction, and supports 12-parameter two-port calibration.
Both ports of KC901J are equipped with built-in bridges, and the functions of the two ports are exactly the same.
Good Absolute Directivity And Dynamic Range
- In order to improve the absolute directivity, both ports use equal-arm Wheatstone bridges. KC901J has an absolute directivity of 20dB (guaranteed value, typical value is 30dB), which exceeds most handheld vector network analyzers.
- The instrument can work to very low frequencies (5kHz guaranteed value, typical usable lower limit frequency 2kHz).
- The equal-arm bridge has a large loss. In order to compensate for its loss, the excitation source is amplified at medium power so that the port output amplitude can still reach above 0dBm.
- Therefore, a good dynamic range is still maintained. At 1kHz intermediate frequency bandwidth, all frequencies are better than 90dB (typical value 100dB).
- The signal source has a built-in attenuator of 60dB, which greatly facilitates the test of high-gain amplifiers.
Excellent Linearity And Stability
- All four receivers have eliminated variable gain components, and the amplifiers are used very conservatively. The entire dynamic range is handled by the ADC, so the KC901J has unprecedented linearity.
- The four receivers are completely symmetrical, and most of the drift can offset each other, so the stability is excellent.
Very Rich But Simple Functions
KC901J adheres to the principle of simplicity and effectiveness. It has multiple functions that are urgently needed in daily engineering, but the interface is simple, the operation is simple, there are no cumbersome settings and fancy functions. And it is designed for efficiency.
In addition to the four S parameter functions required by the dual-port VNA, KC901J also has the following auxiliary functions:
* Spectrum analyzer - use the vector network receiver to perform spectrum scanning.
* Comparator - two ports can receive at the same time, and display the amplitude difference and phase difference of the two ports, which is very beneficial for the debugging of power synthesizers, high-power transmitters and antenna arrays.
* Fault location - perform time domain transformation on S parameters to measure the distance of the fault point.
* RF signal source - can output carrier or analog modulated RF signal, and can attenuate at least 50dB, which is convenient for adjusting radio equipment.
* Audio signal source - can output equal amplitude or modulated signal below 100Hz.
Durable And Easy to Carry
KC901xG4 adopts aluminum alloy shell, stainless steel connector, tempered glass screen, and limiter and ESD protection measures on the port. It is suitable for communication engineering and factory debugging.
The weight of the whole machine is about 1.5kG, which is only half of the usual instrument. The product can be hung with straps on the top and bottom. And it has top and front knobs for easy carrying and on-site operation.
PC Software Support
KCSDI software is a general PC software, which can support KC901xG3, G4, KC761x, KC9531B and other products. Using KCSDI software, users can remotely control KC901J in the LAN.
