MEASALL KC901R 5KHz-7GHz Vector Network Analyzer VNA 2-port Antenna Analyzer & Signal Generator

Description:
KC901 is an RF multimeter based on a network analyzer. This series of products has been around for over ten years. The KC901R is the latest fourth-generation product.

The KC901R covers a frequency range of 5kHz to 7GHz (actual 7.5GHz) and is a standard two-port vector network analyzer with one signal source and four receivers. The KC901R can replace the 1½-port vector network analyzer KC901V.

Basic functions: S11, S21, S12, S22, with testing capabilities for loss, standing wave, impedance, etc.

Additional functions: Spectrum analyzer, comparator, field strength meter, RF signal source, audio signal source, time-domain transformation of S-parameters (DTF fault location function), etc.

The KC901R can measure all four S-parameters without reversing the device's orientation and supports 12-parameter two-port calibration. Both ports of the KC901R are equipped with built-in bridges, and the functions of the two ports are identical.

Features:
Good Absolute Directivity and Dynamic Range
* To improve absolute directivity, both ports use a balanced Wheatstone bridge. The KC901R has an absolute directivity of 18dB (18dB is the guaranteed value. Typical value is 25dB), surpassing most handheld vector network analyzers.
* The instrument can operate at extremely low frequencies (guaranteed value of 5kHz, with a typical usable lower frequency limit of 2kHz).
* Balanced bridges typically have higher losses. To compensate for these losses, the excitation source is amplified with medium power, ensuring that the output amplitude at the ports still reaches approximately 0dBm (at 7GHz). As a result, the instrument maintains a good dynamic range. At a 1kHz intermediate frequency bandwidth, all frequencies exceed 90dB (typical value is 100dB).
* The signal source has a built-in attenuator with a range of 60dB, greatly facilitating tests on high-gain amplifiers.

Excellent Linearity and Stability
* The four receivers in the KC901R eliminate variable gain components, and the use of amplifiers is kept to a minimum. The entire dynamic range is handled directly by the ADC, resulting in unprecedented linearity.
* The four receivers are perfectly symmetric, and most drifts are counterbalanced, ensuring excellent stability.

Rich yet Simplified Functions
* KC901R follows the principle of simplicity and effectiveness, offering a variety of functions essential for daily engineering tasks, while keeping the interface clean and the operation simple. There are no cumbersome settings or flashy features—it's designed for efficiency.
* In addition to the four essential S-parameter functions, the KC901R includes the following auxiliary functions:
  1. Spectrum analyzer - uses vector network receiver to scan spectrum.
  2. Comparator - two ports can receive simultaneously and display the amplitude difference and phase difference of the two ports. It very helpful for debugging power synthesizers, high-power transmitters and antenna arrays.
  3. Fault location - time domain transformation of S parameters to measure the distance of the fault point.
  4. RF signal source - can output carrier or analog modulated RF signal, and can attenuate at least 50dB. It is convenient for adjusting radio equipment.
  5. Audio signal source - can output equal amplitude or modulated signal below 100Hz.

Durable and Easy to Carry
* The KC901R uses an aluminum alloy shell, stainless steel connectors, a screen protected by tempered glass. And the ports use limiters and ESD protection measures, which is suitable for communication engineering and factory debugging.
* The whole device weighs about 1.5kg, which is only half of the usual instrument. The product can be hung with straps on the top and bottom of the analyzer. And it has double knobs on the top and front, which is easy to carry and operate on site.

PC Software Support
* KCSDI is a universal PC software. It supports KC901xG3, KC901R, KC761x, KC9531B and other products. With KCSDI software, it can remotely control KC901R in LAN.
* KCSDI supports for WIN, LINUX and macOS. Please contact customer service to obtain KCSDI.
