Description:
- The maximum communication distance for data transmission is usually not a fixed value and is closely related to the usage environment, antenna gain, and rate mode. The nominal distance of LR24 series data transmission is measured using a 3dBi rod antenna in an open, unobstructed, low-speed mode, and low interference environment.
- Although the interference in the 2.4G frequency band varies in different environments, the anti-interference ability of LR24 data transmission is already considered excellent among similar products, and it is rare to encounter situations where the nominal 10km is only 1-2km or even a few hundred meters in reality.
- For drones, the downlink data link rate of most flight controllers is controlled within 2KB/s, so LR24 data transmission is recommended to use the default low rate mode (maximum 2.4KB/s) to achieve the best communication distance. Taking LR24-E as an example: When using high gain antennas on the ground (7-8dBi or higher), it can even achieve a communication distance of over 20km.

Data pairing:
- As long as the parameters of two arbitrary data transmission modules are consistent, they can be automatically paired when powered on. The green light on the communication data transmission board indicates that it has been successfully connected.
- The modules are shipped with default configurations and can be paired for use immediately without the need to modify parameters. It is recommended that beginners do not modify parameters for now, but rather proceed directly.
- If you want to use multiple data transmissions simultaneously, you can modify the address parameters of the data transmission module to different values.
The relationship between communication rate and baud rate:
- The module can be configured with communication rate mode and serial port baud rate separately, and there is no direct correlation between the two. However, there are requirements for the lower limit of baud rate under different rate modes. For example, the minimum requirement for baud rate in normal mode is 115200 baud rate (firmware before version 1.0.3 requires 230400 and above), and the minimum requirement for baud rate in high-speed mode is 500000 baud rate.
Broadcast mode:
- When data transmission is used for forwarding and receiving RTCM data on RTK devices, it can be configured in broadcast mode, that is, one-way transmission with multiple receivers. The base station is configured for broadcast transmission mode, the mobile terminal is configured for broadcast reception mode, and other parameters remain constant.
