Player One PS125E E-Series 1.25 Inch Filter 7.5nm Photosphere Filter Optimized for CMOS/CCD Cameras
Description:
Player One E-series is an upgrade series of S-series, using high quality optical glass substrate and multi-layer composite coating technology. It is produced to a higher standard than the S series. It is optimized for CMOS/CCD camera, providing a very professional effect in astrophotography.
1.25" Photosphere 7.5nm filter (Photosphere enhanced filter)
Photosphere filter is an assistant filter and telescopes must use a baader film or an Herschel wedge for adequate reduction of sun light. You can use this filter for imaging. The photosphere filter is a narrowband filter, its CWL is 540nm and the bandwidth is 7.5nm.
Why do I need to use the photosphere filter?
It is well known that solar photosphere photography usually uses a Herschel prism to obtain better contrast, and some enthusiasts will also add an IR685 filter to improve the effect of seeing. However, the IR685 filter is not the best choice for shooting the solar photosphere. The photosphere has the best detail and contrast at a wavelength of 540nm. So with this Photosphere filter, you 'll get even more visible details of the Sun 's grain tissue and photosphere, like this:
Where should the photosphere filter be added?
In general, we recommend that you add the photosphere filter in front of a T-mount. It is convenient to use and dust can be prevented from falling on your camera protection window.
