Testing Methods:
1. Use high-voltage wires and grounding wires, as shown in Figure 1.
2. Use a high-voltage pen and grounding wire, as shown in Figure 2.
Precaution: When using a high-voltage pen for testing, the timing display must be set to 0.0, which means the testing time is controlled by holding down the high-voltage pen button.
Testing Steps:
1. When the power is turned off, as shown in Figure 1 or 2, connect the tested object properly.
2. First, make sure to turn the voltage adjustment knob counterclockwise to the bottom, and then turn on the power.
3. Press the current preset button to adjust to the desired leakage current alarm value, and a button will pop up after the preset is complete.
4. Press the button for the desired leakage current range. Or the required voltage level (only available for 10KV models).
5. Pop up or press the AC/DC button to select whether the output voltage display is AC or DC (this step is only available for AC/DC models).
6. Press the green start button on the panel to start the test. (Press and hold the button on the handle to start testing during high-voltage pen testing).
7. Slowly adjust the voltage adjustment knob clockwise to the desired voltage.
8. Press the red reset button to stop the test. (Release the button on the handle to stop the test during high-voltage pen testing).
9. If the test fails (i.e. the leakage current exceeds the preset value), it will automatically alarm and cut off the high voltage.
Testing Time Adjustment:
1. Adjust the UP button to display the desired time (maximum 999 seconds), which is the test time automatically controlled by the machine.
2. Adjust the DOWN button to display the adjustment time as "000", indicating that the testing time is manually controlled.
