TPA3255 is a high-performance class D power amplifier chip. It has class D efficiency and it is capable of delivering circuits with truly high-end sound quality. The device features an advanced integrated feedback design and proprietary high-speed gate driver error correction (for  PurePath Ultra HD). This technology allows the device to maintain ultra-low distortion over the entire audio frequency band while exhibiting sound quality. The device operates in AD mode and drives up to two 315W/4R loads and two 150W (unclipped power) /8R loads at 1.5% THD. It has a 2VRMS analog input interface that allows seamless interfacing with high-performance DACs (such as PCM5242 for TI). In addition to excellent audio performance, the TPA3255 combines high power efficiency with ultra-low power stage idle loss (less than 2.5W). This can be achieved with 85mR MOSFETs and an optimized gate driver scheme. Compared to traditional discrete implementations, this scheme significantly reduces idle losses.

The enhanced version uses excellent circuit design and high-quality components to guarantee performance. At DC 52V, it works stably. In the laboratory tests, it has also passed the 60V high voltage tests. In order to ensure sound quality, TPA3255 use a differential input structure. It also adopts TL072 op amp with field effect input for warm sound. The input uses HIFI tantalum capacitors to make the sound delicate and natural. The main filter is imported capacitors with a withstand voltage of up to 63V, so that safety is guaranteed. The output uses lossless red-ring inductors and CBB capacitors of high current. The output has added a 5V terminal, which can be used as a backup for external devices such as Bluetooth and players.

Premium components are used: TL072 op amp for field effect input, tantalum capacitors for HIFI sound quality, imported high-voltage capacitors for NCC or Nichicon, lossless red ring output inductors and CBB capacitors.
