- SCD1.3 shines like a High-End DAC playing SACDs, but it has been designed as a multifunctional source component for a wide range of HiFi settings. In addition to SACDs, you can enjoy playback from local USB drives, convenient Bluetooth streaming or even for DLNA, Airplay and NAS support. And while its single-ended and balanced outputs will be matching partners for many audiophile amplifiers or active speakers, the included digital inputs can power even better DACs, taking advantage of the new I2S advanced support.
- From the SACD holder playback, SCD1.3 utilizes the ME1389EE system for MediaTek alongside the HD870 laser for Sanyo in the tray-style mechanism, fully unlock the capabilities of high resolution SACD discs and also serve standard CDs. And for hybrid SACDs, there is a dedicated button for easy switching between SACD and CD layers.
- The sound adjustment of the SCD1.3 was based on the main AKM AK4499EX + AK4191 DAC system. Highly detailed, with a vast and precise studio. With highly precise volume control and MUSES8920 acting as a preamp, the SCD1.3 can be paired directly with power amplifiers or active speakers for a simple, high-quality 2-channel speaker setup.
- When it comes to digital outputs, the SCD1.3 adapts a new advanced I2S system, featuring a dedicated circuit for FPGA for further adjustment of I2S output. This special feature offers significantly improved compatibility with DACs across the market, in the launch already including 10 of the most common I2s HDMI-compatible pin outs. And for simpler DACs, there is the classic combination of coaxial and optical SPDIF. Note: SACD disc playback will be converted to PCM 88.2kHz for digital outputs.
- For its multifunctional functions, SCD1.3 runs the latest generation system for MTouch, powered by the X2000 platform for Ingenic and controlled via a 5-inch touch screen. The new generation for MTouch offers improved speed, more precise response to touch controls, and simplified user interface, further tuned to the role of the CD player. For MTouch also unlocks the wireless capabilities of SCD1.3, a Bluetooth 5.0 receiver function that supports for LDAC, aptX HD and AAC, plus Wi-Fi connectivity, bringing functions for DLNA, Airplay and NAS.
- And for situations where SACD resolution is not yet sufficient, SCD1.3's high-resolution capabilities range up to 32 bits/768 kHz and DSD512. Connect SCD1.3 to a computer using its high-performance XU316 USB port for XMOS, or simply plug a USB drive directly into the front panel USB port for lossless local playback directly on SCD1.3.
