How to caculate steps:
Lead screw: 360 deg x 16 micro steps ÷ 1.8deg ÷ helical pitch
Here is an example:
The lead screw of helical pitch is 8, then algorithm is: 360x16 ÷ 1.8 ÷ 8=40. The helical pitch is the nut moving distance when the lead screw makes a round.
Synchronizing wheel: 3200 ÷ (Pitch x gear teeth).
For example: gear teeth is 20 2GT synchronizing wheel, then algorithm is 3200 ÷ (20*2)=80. The pitch is generally 2GT and S2M is 2, MXL US 2.032.
Generally speaking, the step angle of 2-phase hybrid stepper motor is 1.8degree. It means that a pulse stepper motor running 1.8 degrees when full step. If the driver has micro steps, for example, the maximum step of A4988 is 16, each pulse stepper motor running angle is 360/16*200 =0.1125degree. The so-called microstep is to divide the full step into a number of small steps, which can effectively improve motor running.
