VAS 5054A Description:
The VAS 5054A is a universal diagnostic interface for all OBD vehicle systems produced by vehicle manufacturers.

The integrated Bluetooth interface connects the vehicle to a laptop, desktop or test system.

No cable is required for vehicle diagnostics with the VAS 5054A.

The range of wireless Bluetooth connections is 2 to 5 meters, depending on the environment and the type of Bluetooth adapter used on the PC side.

The Serial Port Profile (SPP) is used for data transfer via Bluetooth. Support different Bluetooth security levels.

VAS 5054A Specifications:
The vehicle agreement is processed directly in the VAS 5054A.
This ensures fast response times and reliable real-time behavior independent of the PC operating system. Each time a connection is established, the VAS 5054A software is installed using the version installed on the application PC. As a result, the VAS 5054A automatically takes advantage of any new features available after installing a new software version on the application PC.

The diagnostic application and associated diagnostic base system are installed on the application PC.

The diagnostic basic system can access the VAS 5054A via Bluetooth or USB.
 
Access via Bluetooth: After setting up the connection to the VAS 5054A, the Bluetooth software provides a virtual serial COM port (Bluetooth Serial Port Profile). The diagnostic base system uses this COM port to communicate with the VAS 5054A. This port needs to be specified when installing the diagnostic application.
 
Access via USB: You can also connect the VAS 5054A to an application PC using the included USB cable. Windows detects the VAS 5054A by plug and play and automatically installs the drivers that were copied when the diagnostic application was installed. Then complete the VAS 5054A setup and the device is ready for use by the diagnostic application.
