XTA DP548 Digital Audio Processor 4-IN 8-OUT DSP Processor Dynamic Equalizer Audio Management for Stage Performance
Description:
- The 5 series dynamic management function is not just the sum of its various parts, it also has the functions of the 4 series products, and adds the equivalent of four D2 dynamic equalizers at the input end, and adds C2 compression channels at each output end, adding a new matrix mixing function mode.
- By using two units (DP548-4 input/8 output, and DP544-4 input/4 output), it can use the updated DSP platform to preserve and expand all the original features and sound quality of the 4 series, which has never been available before.
Features:
- Four inputs and eight outputs.
- Each input has a 28 band graphic equalizer that can be configured to model our own GQ600 or older inductor based designs (such as DN27).
- There are also 8 'traditional' parameter equalizers on each input.
- All parameter parts can be reconfigured with many alternative filter features, including familiar high and low range and notch filters, but bandpass, elliptical and variable "Q" shape, and phase adjustment can be done in 2-degree steps.
- Importantly, you may be accustomed to this powerful dynamic equalizer. The three frequency bands of SiDD's dynamic EQ can be used for each input and support all four operating modes (therefore, cutoff/enhancement above or below the threshold). Each frequency band will cover the entire range of 20-20k and have envelope (attack/release) control, as well as setting the allowed gain adjustment amount and selecting the "intensity" (dynamic ratio) of the effect.
- The dynamic equalizer, graphic equalizer settings, all other input settings or all output settings, and if necessary, each combination of these settings can also be stored in their own memory.
- Routing input to output is as flexible as ever, allowing any input or combination of inputs to switch to any output, and there are various useful templates to help you get started (with default intersections also available for assistance).
- The 5 series also supports full matrix mixing mode, where inputs can be mixed with any output in any ratio, and four "send" options are available on each output channel, not just on/off.
- From the output perspective, the slope of the necessary frequency divider filter ranges from 6dB/Octave to 48dB/Octave. Following 9 or more parameter equalizer bands, we can choose a dynamics that is useful for protection or creative use.
- Prior to the limiter section, there is now a functional compressor with knee variability that can transform it from a safe corrective tool (with a hard knee) to a gentle (but still high ratio if needed) effect, only gradually felt as the threshold increases. Approaching and surpassing.
- Each output also has a limiter combination - a limiter designed to prevent individual drivers from overheating, and an additional lead "D-Max" limiter to increase safety and prevent excessive driver movement.
- When using a fully flexible combination of all channels for time alignment, coupled with sub millimeter level accuracy, it can be seen that the 5 series will be applicable in any situation.
