- The DP-666 radio is based on the PE5PVB open source project TEF6686_ESP32, so the DP-666 project source code is open and you can download and compile it yourself.
- The DP-666 radio is a 2.8-inch IPS display with resistive touch, but our firmware does not support touch operation yet. Our firmware is still being improved, and there will inevitably be some errors and bugs, thank you for your understanding.
- The DP-666 uses an external antenna, a standard SMA male screw female connector, and no built-in magnetic rod. The WIFI function is still being improved, the Bluetooth function is not yet implemented, programmers can study secondary development on their own.
- We try to make this radio as practical and convenient as possible, but it is still a DIY product, there will be some flaws and shortcomings, perfectionists should buy it with caution, thank you for your understanding.

Description:
- DP-666 is a high-sensitivity radio based on high-performance automotive-grade TEF6686 chip for NXP, which has excellent selectivity and ultra-high sensitivity. This automotive DSP tuner has a wide range of functions and advanced algorithms (CEQ, EMS, iMS and PACS, noise canceller...), SDR (software-defined radio) signal processing, especially for improvement of multi-path, adjacent frequency interference, weak signals. There are significant advantages in processing and noise cancellation.
- DP-666 is a radio built on open source project TEF6686_ESP32 for PE5PVB. In addition to listening to radio stations, the project also supports a wealth of advanced features, such as: almost all RDS (Radio Data System) data display, automatic/manual station scanning, squelch function, battery voltage display, changeable themes, multilingual, station presets, and more.
- We redesigned the circuit board with reference to the mature TEF6686 front-end receiving circuit, and equipped the DP-666 with a 2.8-inch LCD color screen with resistive touch based on the open source project. While ensuring the portability of the machine, it can display rich RDS information (RDS information requires local radio support); a numeric keypad is added to facilitate users to quickly input frequencies; and a large-capacity 5000mAH battery supports longer standby time.

Operation Instruction:
Basic Operation:
- Main Switch: the main switch of the machine, OFF position is to disconnect the battery, and ON position is to connect the battery. Please turn off this switch when the machine is not in use for a long time to prevent accidental power on.
- POWER button: short press to power on/off
- Tuning knob: rotate to adjust frequency, short press to step switch, long press to turn on iMS and EQ
- Volume knob: volume adjustment
- SQL gear: squelch level adjustment
- BW button: bandwidth selection
  Short press at FM mode: stereo/mono switch
  Long press at FM mode: modulation bandwidth switch in 56/64/72/84/97/114/133/151/168/184/200/217/236/254/287/311kHz/AUTO BW, you can also press and hold the BW button and use the TUNING knob to select.
  Short press at AM mode: modulation bandwidth switch in 3/4/6/8kHz
- MODE button: tuning mode
  Short press: MAN (manual frequency modulation)/AUTO (automatic search)/MEM (storage operation) mode switch
  Long press: open the menu page
- BAND button: band switch
  Short press: band switch in LW/MW/SW/OIRT/FM
  Long press at FM mode: open advanced RDS view/Alternative Frequency view
  Press and hold over 5s: sleep or turn off the screen
- Storage process:
1. Tune to the radio station you want to store in the preset.
2. Switch the MODE button until you see "MEM" highlighted.
3. Press the TUNING button, and "MEM" will turn red.
4. Select the desired storage channel. You will see colors on the preset number: red indicates that the frequency has been stored on this preset, and green indicates that there is no frequency stored on this preset.
5. Press the TUNING button again to store the preset.

Advanced Operation:
- Change encoder direction: press and hold the BW button when turning on the device.
- Rotating screen: press and hold the MODE button when turning on the device.
- Restore default settings: press and hold the BW and TUNING knobs when turning on the device.

Expand Keyboard:
- Number keys 0-9: enter the corresponding frequency value
- DX button: start/stop FMDX scan
- Enter key: confirm input

Receiving Sensitivity:
- FM: M (S/N=30dB) ≤ 0.5uV; FM ≥ 60dB (±150kHz)
- SW: SW (S/N=20dB) ≤ 10uV; SW ≥ 60dB (BW=3kHz/±5kHz)
